Outer Richmond

Nestled against the Pacific Ocean, Outer Richmond and its neighbor to the south, Outer Sunset, are some of the foggiest areas in San Francisco. Originally sand dunes, both neighborhoods did not develop into residential areas until streetcars lines were introduced in the early 20th century.
