Mission

The Mission District, San Francisco's oldest neighborhood, is the area where Father Francisco Palou established a mission. The Mission Dolores structure was erected in 1791 and remains San Francisco's oldest building. The Mission District is notable for its vibrant murals, with a strong Hispanic influence.
